Provided are an ink jet ink composition including water and particles including a polymer having an anionic group, a photo-acid generator, and a sensitizer, wherein a value obtained by subtracting a photo-acid generator amount G being a number of millimoles of the photo-acid generator per 1 g of the particles from an anionic group value A being a number of millimoles of the anionic group per 1 g of the particles is -0.20 or more and 0.20 or less, and the sensitizer is at least one of compounds represented by Formula (S1) to Formula (S3); a method for producing the ink jet ink composition; and an image-forming method. R11, R12, R21, R31, R32, R33, and R34 each independently represent a substituent; n11, n12, n21, n33, and n34 each independently represent an integer of 0 to 4; and R22 and R23 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
