Five new 8-hydroxyquinoline derivatives L1-L5 were synthesized and characterized by different techniques, such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), electrospray ionization mass spectra, elemental analysis, ultraviolet-visible, and photoluminescence spectra.
