The Synthesis of Catechol and8-Hydroxyquinoline Derivatives with Short Peptide-Type Side Chains:Metal Complex Ligands with Additional Receptor Properties
Glycine-N-amide substituted catechol and 8-hydroxyquinoline ligands were prepared and were used to obtain mixtures of isomers of dicatecholate molybdenum(VI)dioxu and tris-8-hydroxyquinolinate gallium(III) complexes. Uponaddition of nitrate to the complex [(5) 2 MoO 2 ] 2 - an allosteric binding of the metal as well as of the anion takes place.
