    Hydroxy functional acrylate and methacrylate monomers prepared via lipase—catalyzed transacylation reactions
    摘要:
    Candida antarctica lipase B (CAL-B, Novozyme 435) catalyzes the transacylation of methyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate with diols and triols in 2-methyl-2-butanol at 50 degrees C. Under the experimental conditions, up to 70 mol% of the acyl donor methyl acrylate was converted. Methyl methacrylate is the less efficient acyl donor (up to 60 mol%) due to the higher sterical hindrance in the enzymatic transacylation. Under the reaction conditions high yields of the mono-acylated products are obtained, which contain minor amounts of bis(meth)acrylates. In addition it was observed that Novozyme 435 catalyzes regioselectively the acylation of the primary hydroxyl groups. In comparison with the chemical catalyzed route no selectivity was observed for unsubstituted diols. For substituted diols more mono-acylated product was formed in the lipase-catalyzed reaction than in the chemical catalyzed reaction. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

    The present invention provides a crystalline polyester resin for toner that has, when used as a resin for toner, a sharp melt property, excellent fixing performance and blocking property and a preferable charging performance. Provided is a crystalline polyester resin for toner, which is obtained by condensation polymerization of a dicarboxylic acid component containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of terephthalic acid, 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and derivatives thereof, and a diol component containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol and derivatives thereof, the crystalline polyester resin having a weight-average molecular weight of not less than 5000 and not more than 50000.

    A process for producing methacrylic resin mold- ings having excellent flaw resistance, weatherability, heat resistance, etc., which comprises bringing into contact (A) a preliminary reaction product obtained by polymerizing a composition of a hydrolyzate of alkoxysilane having (meth)acryloxy groups and silica sol to a reaction ratio of 15 to 60, with (8) a molding base material composed of a partially crosslinked acrylic gel polymer obtained by mixing (i) a resin material selected from the group consisting of an alkyl methacrytate monomer, a mixture of a predominant amount of alkyl methacrylate with an α, -ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and a syrup containing polymer thereof with (ii) a cross-linking polymerizable compound having at least two (meth)acryloyloxy groups in a proportion of 3 to 100 parts by weight of said crosslinkable compound per 100 parts by weight of said resin material, and partially polymerizing the mixture in the presence of a polymerization initiator till gel fraction reaches 15 to 50 %, and conducting polymerization under the condition giving a desired shape.

    An acrylic composition, which has excellent flexibility at low temperature and can form a formed body whose adhesion at room temperature is suppressed, the formed body of the acrylic composition, a key sheet of a mobile telephone, and a light guide obtained from the formed body are provided. The acrylic composition contains specific long chain di(meth)acrylate (A) and mono(meth)acrylate (B), and the glass-transformation temperature (TgDMS) of the polymer of the acrylic composition is 40°C or less. The formed body is obtained by polymerization of the acrylic composition, and the key sheet of the mobile telephone and the light guide are obtained from the formed body.
