  Abstract14β‐(Dimethylcarbamoylmethyl)codeinon‐dimethylacetal (1a) sowie dessen Reduktionsprodukt 14β‐(2‐Hydroxyethyl)codeinon‐dimethylacetal (9) erleiden bei der sauren Acetalhydrolyse unerwartete Umlagerungen zu den Lactonen 5 und 6 bzw. den cyclischen Ethern 12 und 13a. Durch Isolierung der Zwischenprodukte 1b, 3, 5 bzw. 11 und 12 konnte Einblick in die Reaktionsabläufe gewonnen werden.
