A rapid and efficientmethod for synthesispyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazole derivatives from readily available starting materials is accomplished undermicrowaveirradiation. This method has the advantages of short reaction time, operational simplicity, increased safety for small-scale high-speed synthesis, and minimal environment impact.

A facilemicrowave‐assistedsynthesis of pyrano[2,3‐d]pyrimidines derivatives is accomplished viareactions of 4‐arylmethylene‐2‐phenyloxazol‐5(4H)‐ones with pyrimidine‐4,6‐diol in ethylene glycol. The reaction is simple to perform and occurs under mild conditions with broad scope of applicability.
