  Intramolecular cycloaddition reactions of carbonyl ylides with ester-activated CC-bonds are studied. Whereas the annelated adducts 7/8 are formed in the case of 4a-c (n=1, 3, 5) as starting materials, thermolysis of 4d (n=10) leads predominately to the bridged compound 9d.
