    The present invention provides a method for producing an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid in high yield. In particular, the present invention resides in a method for producing an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid by oxidation of an olefin or an α,β-unsaturated aldehyde with molecular oxygen in liquid phase in the presence of a catalyst containing at least palladium, wherein at least one compound selected from the group consisting of p-methoxyphenol, 4,4′-dihydroxytetraphenylmethane, 1,1,1-tris(p-hydroxyphenyl)ethane, compounds having an N-oxyl group in the molecule and compounds having an N-nitrosyl group in the molecule is caused to be coexistent.

    An object of the present invention is to provide an ink composition for inkjet recording that is excellent in terms of surface gloss and storage stability. Disclosed is an ink composition for inkjet recording comprising (Component A) a polymerizable compound, (Component B-1) an oxyl free radical-based polymerization inhibitor, (Component B-2) a phenol-based polymerization inhibitor, and (Component B-3) an amine-based polymerization inhibitor. The polymerizable compound (Component A) preferably comprises (Component A-1) a divinyl ether compound. The ink composition preferably further comprises (Component C) a polymerization initiator, and more preferably comprises (Component C-1) an acylphosphine-based polymerization initiator as the polymerization initiator (Component C).

    There is provided a superior decreasing method of an N-oxyl compound contained in an easily polymerizable material, according to which the N-oxyl compound contained in an easily polymerizable material can be sufficiently decreased and loss of the easily polymerizable material is little. The easily polymerizable material containing an N-oxyl compound and an acid are contacted with each other. In addition, not only the N-oxyl compound but also an organic titanium group compound contained in the easily polymerizable material can be sufficiently decreased.
