The synthesis of a variety of aromatic amines carrying an ortho‐alkyltelluro group is described. The new antioxidants quenched lipidperoxyl radicals much more efficiently than α‐tocopherol and were regenerable by aqueous‐phase N‐acetylcysteine in a two‐phase peroxidation system.
