Synthesis and spectral properties of isomeric [(12-<i>N</i>-methyl) and (10-<i>N</i>-methyl)]-11-(<i>o</i>, and<i>p</i>-substituted-anilino)-5<i>H</i>-dibenzo[<i>b,e</i>][1,4]diazepines

The preparation of sixteen novel substituted [(10-N-methyl) and (12-N-methyl)]-11-(o-, and p-substituted-anilino)-5H-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]diazepines which have potentially useful pharmacological properties is described. The structure and the isomeric differences in all products was corroborated by ir, 1H-nmr, 13C-nmr, and mass spectra.
