The water-mediated, metal-free, 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO) promoted oxidative [3+2] cycloaddition of organic azides with electron-deficient terminal and internal olefins was explored. A library of 1,4-disubstituted and 1,4,5-trisubstituted-1,2,3-triazoles were synthesized in moderate to excellent yields. This method was also found to be compatible not only with open-chain olefins

The copper-catalyzed cleavage of carbon–carbon bonds in primary propargyl alcohols under oxygen was investigated. This process involves the formation and fragmentation of hemiaminals from aldehydes (oxidized alcohols) and amines. This reaction mechanism was supported by the formation of N-formyl amines and GC experimental results.

Organic π-chromophores containing rhodamine and triazole skeletons were synthesized using mechano-click chemistry as key step. Optical, redox, aggregate behaviour, electronic structure and other molecular properties of the synthesized dyads were investigated. They exhibited selective sensing of copper(II) ions and is reasoned to the specific interaction mode with the analyte.
