  The general method for the synthesis of 2-arylbenzofuran containing amides was elaborated. The considered approach is based on interaction of various phenols with N,N'-(2-aryl-2-oxoethane-1,1-diyl)diamides, which can be obtained from arylglyoxals and primary amides.
