A copolymer of ethylene, a catalyst system suitable to prepare the copolymer, and a process to prepare such copolymer are described. The copolymer is obtained by subjecting ethylene and said at least one first α-olefin comonomer to a polymerization stage in the presence of a catalyst system capable of forming a copolymer of ethylene and said at least one first α-olefin comonomer having n carbon atoms, while forming the second α-olefin comonomer having (n−1) carbon atoms.
