The present invention is directed to a cleaning composition suitable for metallic surfaces of vehicles, said composition comprising, based on the weight of the composition:
from 75 to 90 wt.% of A) at least one compound defined by Formula (I)
R1-O-(M-O)n-R2 (I)
wherein: R1 and R2 are independently selected from hydrogen and C1-C6 alkyl groups;
each M is independently selected from C1-C6 alkylene groups; and,
n is an integer of from 1 to 5;
from 5 to 15 wt.% of B) at least one acetal defined by Formula (II) below:
wherein: R3 and R4 are independently selected from hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C6-C10 aryl, C3-C6 cycloalkyl, OR5 and OR6;
R5 and R6 are independently selected from C1-C12 alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C6-C10 aryl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl and -(AO)x-R7;
A is -C2H4-, -C3H7- or -C4H8-;
x is an integer of from 1 to 4; and,
R7 is C1-C12 alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C6-C10 aryl or C3-C8 cycloalkyl; and,
from 1 to 10 wt.% of C) at least hydroxyalkylamino compound defined by Formula (III) below
wherein: R8 is selected from hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, 2-hydroxyethyl and 2-hydroxypropyl;
R9 is C2-C6 alkyl; and,
R10 is C2-C6 alkyl.
