4-Chloropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazines react with ethyl isocyanoacetate to form ethyl imidazo[1,5-a]pyrazolo[5,1-c]pyrazine-1-carboxylates, hydrolysis of which yields the corresponding acids and reduction gives alcohols oxidized by the action of the Dess–Martin reagent to aldehydes.
4-氯吡唑并[1,5 - a ]吡嗪与异氰基乙酸乙酯反应形成乙基咪唑并[1,5- a ]吡唑并[5,1- c ]吡嗪-1-羧酸酯,其水解产生相应的酸并还原,得到Dess-Martin试剂的作用将醇氧化成醛。

A reaction of 4-chloropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazines with tert-butyl cyanoacetate proceeded via the formation of tert-butyl cyano(pyrazolo- [1,5-a]pyrazin-4(5H)-ylidene)ethanoates as intermediates and led to pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-4-ylacetonitriles, which were used to obtain derivatives of a new pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrido[2,1-c]pyrazine system.
