    mixture RfI and tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene is used for the nucleophilic perfluoroalkylation. The reaction of chlorotrimethylsilane and RfI/tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene in diglyme results in the formation of RfSi(CH3)3 isolated in 55–81% yield.
