The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns compounds comprising at least one β-thio carbonyl or nitrile moiety capable of liberating an active molecule selected from an α,β-unsaturated ketone, aldehyde or nitrile. The present invention concerns also the use of said compounds in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's compounds. (I) wherein: a) m represents an integer from 1 to 6; b) Pro represents a hydrogen atom or a group susceptible of generating an odoriferous α,β-unsaturated ketone, aldehyde or nitrile and is represented by the formulae (II) or (II′) in which the wavy line indicates the location of the bond between said Pro and the sulfur atom S; and at least one of the Pro groups is of the formula (II) or (II′).
Disclosed is a vulcanization accelerator for chloroprene rubber which has a thioglycolic acid ester as its main component and which gives chloroprene products improved in physical properties, particularly tear strength. A modified vulcanization accelerator obtained by having an inorganic powder impregnated with, or adsorb, a thioglycolic acid ester constitutes a preferred embodiment in respect that it avoids emitting the offensive odor of mercaptan and permits easy handling.
An energy ray-curable elastomer composition, which comprises an energy ray-curable compound (A) having a (meth)acryloyl group, a polythiol compound (B) having 2 to 6 mercapto groups per molecule, and a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate (C), characterized in that the ratio of the number of (meth)acryloyl functional groups in component (A) to the number of mercapto functional groups in component (B) is 100:0.1-100:5n (wherein n represents the number of mercapto groups per molecule of the polythiol compound), and component (C) is used at a ratio of 1-8 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of component (A). Thus, an energy ray-curable elastomer composition, which can achieve both high breaking elongation and good processability and shows good compression set, can be provided.

The polymerizable composition of the present invention contains (A) an alicyclic isocyanate compound (a1) having two or more functional groups and/or an aliphatic isocyanate compound (a2) having two or more functional groups, (B) a thiol compound having one or more sulfide bonds and/or one or more ester bonds and having two or more functional groups, and (C) an imidazole-based curing catalyst, in which the amount of the imidazole-based curing catalyst (C) is 5 ppm to 3,000 ppm with respect to the total amount of the isocyanate compound (A) and the thiol compound (B).
A process for producing an optical material of the present invention includes a step of mixing di- or higher-functional thiol compounds (A) having one or more sulfide bonds and/or one or more ester bonds with an imidazole-based curing catalyst (B) to prepare a mixed solution; a step of mixing the mixed solution with an isocyanate compound (C) including at least one kind of a di- or higher-functional alicyclic isocyanate compound (c1) and/or a di- or higher-functional aliphatic isocyanate compound (c2) to prepare a polymerizable composition for optical materials; a step of injecting the polymerizable composition for optical materials into a mold; and a step of polymerization-curing the polymerizable composition for optical materials in the mold.
