Abstract The following halogenides of β-alanine: β-Ala·HF (I), β-Ala·HCl (II), β-Ala·HBr (III), β-Ala·HI (IV), 2β-Ala·HBr (V) and 2β-Ala·HI (VI) have been synthesized and characterized structurally and by vibrational spectroscopy.
