A new one-pot reaction between polyfluoroalkylated 3-oxo esters, methylketones and primary or secondary alkyl amines is reported as an efficient approach to 3-alkylamino-5-hydroxy-5-polyfluoroalkylcyclohex-2-en-1-ones. The scope of three-component cyclization and its plausible mechanism are discussed. The described protocol makes it possible to vary the functional substituents in 2, 3 and 5 positions
Fluoroalkylcontaining 3-oxo esters react with aldehydes to form 2-benzylidene-3-fluoroacyl-esters or 4-aryl(alkyl)-3,5-dialkoxycarbonyl-2,6-dihydroxy-2,6-di(fluoroalkyl)tetrahydropyranes depending on the conditions. Ethyl pentafluorobenzoylacetoacetate with benzaldehyde affords 3,5-diethoxy-carbonyl-4-phenyl-2-pentafluorophenyl-7,8,9,10-tetrafluoro-4,5-dihydrobenzo[b]oxacin-6-one.

This invention relates to certain N-heteroaryl compounds that are generally useful as medicaments, more specifically as medicaments for animals. The medicament can preferably be used for the treatment of helminth infections and the treatment of parasitosis, such as caused by helminth infections. This invention also relates to uses of the compounds to make medicaments and treatments comprising the administration of the compounds to animals in need of the treatments. This invention also relates to novel N-heteroaryl compounds and the preparation of said compounds. Moreover this invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions and kits comprising the compounds.

Alkyl 3-fluoroalkyl-3-oxopropionates react with antipyrinyldiazonium chloride to form 2-antipyrinylhydrazono-3-fluoroalkyl-3-oxopropionates. The use in these reactions of hetaryldiazonium salts, containing NH group in the α position, leads to alkyl 7-fluoroalkyl-7-hydroxy-4,7- dihydroazolo[5,1-c]triazine-6-carboxylates. 3-Amino-1H-1,2,4-triazole, 3-amino-4-ethoxycar- bonyl-1H-pyrazole, and 5-amino-4-ethoxycarbonyl-1H-imidazole were used as the heterocyclic component.

A new straightforward three-component approach to 7-hydroxy-7-(polyfluoroalkyl)hexahydroimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-5(1H)-ones with high diastereoselectivity and regiospecificity was developed starting from commercially available 3-oxo esters, methyl ketones, and 1,2-ethanediamines. The scope of this cyclization and its plausible mechanism are reported.
