-glucopyranosides of geraniol, nerol and linalol have been isolated and characterized in Muscat of Alexandria grapes and wine. These monoterpene disaccharide glycosides, which are precursors of linalol oxidation state monoterpenes of the grape, are also present in another non-muscat Vitisvinifera var. Rhine Riesling.
A novel perylenediimide dye containing glucopyranosyl groups in 1- and 7-positions of the perylene ring has been synthesized and characterized to obtain highly efficient and stable photosensitized material in photodynamic therapy.
