The synthesis of bis‐enones from alkenyl bromides and α,ω‐bis‐Weinreb amides via a double Grignard reaction is reported. The work contains reliable protocols for the double addition and the efficient generation of the required substituted alkenyl Grignard reagents from alkenyl bromide precursors.
The thiophene fragmentation reaction towards bis ene‐yne‐compounds has been systematically investigated. The convenient accessibility of these multifunctional building blocks paths the way for novel applications in functional organic materials.

The first highly enantioselective intermolecular Stetter reaction using simple enones is reported. A series of novel chiral BAC structures were designed and prepared. They were tested in the Stetter reaction with simple aldehydes and enones. The products were generated in excellent yields and enantioselectivities (up to 94% ee). Surprisingly, a substoichiometric amount of water was crucial to obtain
