-N-(p-tolylsulfinyl)-, -N-(p-toluenesulfinimidoyl)-, -N-(p-tolylsulfonyl)-, and -N-(p-toluenesulfonimidoyl)sulfoximines have been synthesized either by sulfenylation, sulfinylation, sulfinimidoylation, sulfonylation, and sulfonimidoylation or by oxidation of the N-substituted sulfoximines with sulfur groups of lower oxidation states, i.e., the N-sulfenylated sulfoximine.
