本品为淡黄色液体,熔点-33℃,沸点231℃(101℃/1.38 kPa),折射率(n_{20}^D) 1.5520,相对密度0.968,闪点89℃。它不溶于水,能溶于乙醇、乙醚、氯仿等有机溶剂。
用途
2-甲基-6-乙基苯胺是除草剂乙草胺、异丙甲草胺和异丙草胺等的中间体,并且是生产除草剂丁草胺的关键中间体,也是氯代酰胺类除草剂乙草胺和异丙甲草胺的重要原料。此外,它还可用于其他有机合成。
生产方法
以邻甲基苯胺为原料,通过与乙烯进行邻位烷基化反应而得。原料消耗定额为:邻甲苯胺(99%)990 kg/t、乙烯(99%)330 kg/t、催化剂原料(99.5%)15 kg/t、氮气(99%)30 m³/t。
