Treatment of 4-aminoalky1-2,6-dichloropyridazines with acid chlorides in the presence of triethylamine leads to the formation of 6-spirolactams (X-ray confirmed) which subsequently can be transformed into pyrrolo[2,3-clpyridazin-6-ones.
