  Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Zusammensetzungen, die wenigstens 80 Gew.-%, insbesondere wenigstens 90 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der Zusammensetzung, wenigstens einer Magnesiumsulfat-Harnstoff-Verbindung, ausgewählt unter der Verbindung der Formel (I) und Gemischen der Verbindung der Formel (I) mit der Verbindung der Formel (II): [MgSO4• m CO(NH2)2• n H2O] (I), [MgSO4• x CO(NH2)2• y H2O] (II), worin m und x im Bereich von 0,9 bis 1,1, n im Bereich von 1,9 bis 2,1 und y im Bereich von 2,9 bis 3,1 liegen, enthalten, wobei die Zusammensetzungen, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der Zusammensetzung, weniger als 10 Gew.-% freies MgSO4 in Form des Anhydrates oder in Form von Hydraten des Magnesiumsulfats undweniger als 10 Gew.-% ungebundenen Harnstoffenthalten. Die Erfindung betrifft auch die Herstellung der Zusammensetzungen und deren Verwendung als Düngemittel oder Düngemittelzusatz.
