There is provided an optical film including an ultraviolet light absorbent having a first peak with a maximum absorption coefficient of 0.07 to 0.10 phr-1µm-1 in a wavelength band of 290 to 320 nm and a second peak with a maximum absorption coefficient of 0.11 to 0.16 phr-1µm-1 in a wavelength band of 330 to 400 nm, and acrylic resin, wherein the content of the ultraviolet light absorbent is 0.3 to 1.0 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the acrylic resin, and a polarizing plate including the same.

Provided are a methacrylic resin composition and a film containing a methacrylic resin that includes: 50 mass% to 97 mass% of a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit (A); 3 mass% to 30 mass% of a structural unit (B) having a cyclic structure-containing main chain; and 0 mass% to 20 mass% of another vinyl monomer unit (C) that is copolymerizable with a methacrylic acid ester monomer. The methacrylic resin satisfies the following conditions (1) and (2): (1) the methacrylic resin has a weight average molecular weight of 65,000 to 300,000 as measured by GPC; and (2) the total content of specific components is 0.01 mass% to 0.40 mass% as determined by GC/MS.
Provided are a methacrylic resin composition that has adequate optical properties for practical use and excellent heat resistance, thermal stability, external appearance, and shaping processability, and a shaped product containing the same. The methacrylic resin composition comprises a methacrylic resin, the methacrylic resin comprising: 50 mass% to 97 mass% of a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit (A); 3 mass% to 30 mass% of a structural unit (B) having a cyclic structure-containing main chain; and 0 mass% to 20 mass% of another vinyl monomer unit (C) that is copolymerizable with a methacrylic acid ester monomer, wherein the methacrylic resin satisfies a specific condition; and the methacrylic resin composition has a weight average molecular weight residual ratio of 80% or more upon heating under a nitrogen atmosphere at 280°C for 1 hour, and has a weight average molecular weight residual ratio of 80% or more upon heating in air at 280°C for 0.5 hours.
An optical sheet of the present invention includes a specific wavelength absorption layer that contains a polycarbonate as a main material and a light absorbing agent that absorbs light of a specific wavelength out of light in a wavelength range of 350 nm to 740 nm, in which the polycarbonate has a viscosity average molecular weight Mv of 20,000 to 30,000. In addition, the specific wavelength absorption layer further includes an ultraviolet absorbing agent that absorbs light in a wavelength range of 100 nm to 420 nm.

A resin composition of the present invention is used for forming a second layer in an optical layer 10, contains a silicon-modified (meth)acryl resin, a urethane (meth)acrylate, and a polyfunctional (meth) acrylate, and satisfies the following condition A, in which the optical layer 10 includes a first layer (base material layer 1) containing a resin material and a visible light absorber and the second layer (protective layer 2) protecting the first layer.
Condition A: In a case where the second layer is formed on a base material, a coating film of a mixed solvent containing a petroleum-based solvent at a proportion equal to or higher than 45 wt% is formed on the second layer and left as it is, and then the mixed solvent is removed, an adherence, which is determined by a cross-cut method, of the second layer cut in the form of a lattice with respect to the base material is equal to or higher than 95%.
