    Alkynes, secondary amines and aldehydes, in the presence of a copper (I) salt, undergo Mannich reactions to afford the corresponding aminomethylalkynyl adducts on a solid support. Any member of this three-component reaction system can be immobilized on a resin providing three distinct routes for the generation of structurally diverse compound libraries.

    The first use of Cd 2 + as catalystfor a facile three-component coupling of an aldehyde, alkyne, andamine has been demonstrated to synthesize propargylamines undermicrowave irradiation in chlorobenzene without the use of a co-catalystor activator in the absence of inert atmosphere. This method hasbeen proved to be applicable to a wide range of substrates.

    Nano Ag-doped Fe3O4@mesoporous TiO2 core-shell hollow spheres (h-Fe3O4@m-TiO2/Ag) were efficiently prepared. They were fully characterized by FT-IR, FE-SEM, EDX, ICP, TGA, XRD, and BET methods. In addition, their magnetic properties were determined by means of the VSM method. Also, the rho (shell) of the prepared hollow Fe3O4 micro-particles was calculated, being found just slightly lighter than that of solid sphere-like Fe3O4. The catalytic activity of this novel catalyst system was successfully examined as a novel catalyst system in A(3) coupling reactions (aldehyde + amine + acetylene). This highly active magnetic catalyst was easily separated using an external magnet and re-used in five consecutive runs in the model reaction without appreciable loss of its catalytic activity.[GRAPHICS].

    An inexpensive and readily available catalyst, Zn(OAc)(2)center dot 2H(2)O is successfully evaluated for effective one-pot synthesis of propargylamines with moderate to excellent yields for most of the substrates screened, without the need of base, co-catalyst or additive in the presence of air.
