Several 3-thietanol derivatives were synthesized in good yields by stereospecific reactions of 2-(1-haloalkyl)oxiranes with monothiocarbamic acid salts.
Several 2-aminomethyloxiranes (2) have been synthesized in good yields by the reaction of 2-(1-bromoalkyl)oxiranes (1) with primary or secondary amines. cis-2-Aminomethyloxiranes (2) were obtained from syn-(2-bromomethyl)oxiranes (1) with amines and KOH, and trans-2-aminomethyloxiranes (2) were obtained from anti-(2-bromomethyl)oxiranes (1) with amines, respectively, with stereospecific manner.

There is an increasing interest in cyclobutanes within the medicinal chemistry community. Therefore, methods to prepare cyclobutanes that contain synthetic handles for further elaboration are of interest. Herein, we report a new approach for the synthesis of 3-borylated cyclobutanols via a formal [3 + 1]-cycloaddition using readily accessible 1,1-diborylalkanes and epihalohydrins or epoxy alcohol derivatives
A New Synthesis of 4-Phenylquinolines by Reaction of 2-(a-Bromobenzyl)oxiranes with Aniline Derivatives

Several 4-phenylquinoline derivatives were synthesized by reaction of (2R*,1 'R*)-2-(alpha -bromobenzyl)oxiranes (1a) with aniline derivatives, and the following treatment of the formed 3-hydroxy-4-phenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines (2) with the Rydon reagent, and potassium t-butoxide and air oxidation.
Stereospecific isomerization of 3-substituted-3-bromo-1,2-epoxypropanes using magnesium bromide

日期:2002.6
A novel stereospecific isomerization reaction of 3-substituted-3-bromo-1,2-epoxypropane derivatives into 1-substituted-3-bromo-1,2-epoxypropane derivatives is described. The choice of the solvent crucially influences the isomerization. The tendency of this isomerization could be predicted by comparison of the free energies calculation using ab initio and DFT methods.
