  Ten new oleanene-type triterpene oligoglycosides were isolated from Chinese Glycyrrhizae Radix, the dried root of (Glycyrrhiza uralensis)___- (Fischer)___= [Tohoku-Kanzo (in Japanese) from china], and the structures of five oligoglycosides, named licorice-saponins A3 (3__∼), B2 (5__∼), C2 (7__∼), D3 (9__∼), and E2 (<12>__∼), have been determined on the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence.
