Reaction of 3-amino-3-thioxopropanamides with alpha-bromoketones has afforded substituted thiazol-2-yl-acetamides. Structure of N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-oxo-2-(4-phenylthiazol-2-yl)acetamide has been studied by X-ray diffraction.
