The utility of this approach is demonstrated with the formal synthesis of (S)‐(+)‐lycoperdic acid. Alternatively, 2,3‐anellated furans can be obtained in a one‐pot procedure via photocyclization following a regioselective semipinacol rearrangement.magnified image
