Iridium-catalyzed regioselective C-7 amination of indolines has been achieved with organic azides as a facile nitrogen source. The developed procedure is convenient to perform even at roomtemperature and applicable to a wide range of substrates with high catalytic activity. Various types of organic azides (sulfonyl, aryl, and alkyl derivatives) were all successfully reacted under the present conditions

CH activation: A RhIII‐catalyzed direct aldehyde CH amidation has been achieved with sulfonyl, aryl, and alkyl azides as the amine sources, and release of N2 as the only byproduct (see scheme). More importantly, this catalytic reaction proceeds in the absence of external oxidants or additives, under mild conditions, at neutral pH under air. This reaction represents a new avenue for practical intermolecular
Herein, we demonstrated an efficient protocol for reductivealkylation of azides/nitro compounds via a borrowing hydrogen (BH) method. By following this protocol, selective mono- and dialkylated amines were obtained under mild and solvent-free conditions. A series of control experiments and deuterium-labeling experiments were performed to understand this catalytic process. Mechanistic studies suggested

to generating new leads for drug discovery. Herein, we show that heterogeneous nanoparticle catalysts enable site-selective monoreduction of polyazide substrates for the generation of aminoglycoside antibiotic derivatives. The nanoparticle catalysts are highly chemoselective for reduction of alkyl and aryl azides under mild conditions and in the presence of a variety of easily reduced functional groups

Polymer supported formate in conjunction with commercial zinc dust provides a mild and efficient procedure for the reduction of organic azides to corresponding amines. A variety of alkyl and aryl azides were selectively reduced in high yield and purity at room temperature.
