    Convert dichloroisopropyl ether into a halogenated derivative by contacting the dichloroisopropyl ether with a source of hydrogen and a select heterogeneous hydrogenation catalyst under process conditions selected from a combination of a temperature within a range of from 50 degrees centigrade (ºC) to 350 ºC, a pressure within a range of from atmospheric pressure (0.1 megapascals) to 1000 pounds per square inch (6.9 MPa), a liquid feed volume flow to catalyst mass ratio between 0.5 and 10 L/Kg*h and a volume hydrogen / volume liquid ratio between 100 and 5000 ml gas/ ml liquid. The halogenated derivative is at least one of 1-chloro-2-propanol and 1,2-dichloropropane 1, and glycerin monochlorohydrin.

    The present invention relates to an acyclic nucleoside phosphonate derivative and medical uses thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to an acyclic nucleoside phosphonate derivative of Formula I having strong potency against viruses, such as hepatitis B virus, and low cytotoxicity, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, isomer, hydrate or solvate thereof, wherein R 1 is H or methyl; each R 2 is independently —R 3 or —OR 3 , each R 3 is independently C 1 -C 8 alkyl, C 3 -C 8 cycloalkyl. The present invention further relates to a process for preparing the compounds of Formula I, a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound, and the medical uses of the compound. The acyclic nucleoside phosphonate derivative of the present invention has activity against virus such as hepatitis B virus and good in vivo behavioral traits.

    An organic feedstock (1) containing thermally unstable compounds and a halogen component is hydrotreated by contacting the organic feedstock (1) and a gaseous recycle stream (7) containing hydrogen and a carbon deposit suppressing an amount of a hydrogen halide compound with a hydrogenation catalyst in a hydrogenation reaction zone (2) to stably produce a hydrogenated hydrocarbonaceous stream (3) having a reduced concentration of halogen and a halide compound stream. The resulting effluent (3) from the hydrogenation zone is separated (6) to produce the recycle stream (7) containing the hydrogen halide compound.

    A feed stream containing halogenated organic compounds and trace quantities of organic nitrates is treated to produce a stream comprising halogenated organic compounds substantially free from organic nitrates by the utilization of a hydrogenation zone operated at selective hydrogenation conditions in order to convert the organic nitrates to one or more water-soluble nitrogen compounds while minimizing the production of hydrogen halide compounds. The resulting water-soluble nitrogen compounds are thereafter removed by extraction with an aqueous stream to produce the desired product stream.

    The present invention relates to an epoxy resin composition comprising at least (A) an epoxy resin having a cycloalkane ring or cyclohexene ring but having neither aromatic ring nor aminic nitrogen atom, (B) a carboxylic anhydride having no aromatic ring, and (C) an ultraviolet absorbent, wherein a content of component (A) is from 70 to 100 percents by weight based on the total weight of epoxy resins, and a content of component (B) is from 70 to 100 percents by weight based on the total weight of carboxylic anhydrides. By this constitution, the present invention can provide an epoxy resin composition whose cured product excels in mechanical properties and weatherability, and a fiber reinforced composite material having excellent mechanical properties and weatherability.
