制备方法与用途

用途

圆柚甲烷具有清新的苦味，常与柑橘香型配合使用。它也能作为香根香型的提味剂之一。如今，圆柚甲烷已成为古龙水中的关键原料。其香气特征接近圆柚皮，并带有乙酸香根酯样的韵味。

制备

起始原料为2,2,5-三甲基-4-己烯醛，在二分子甲醇的作用下进行缩合反应，最终生成1,1-二甲氧基-2,2,5-三甲基-4-己烯（即圆柚甲烷，Methyl Pamplemousse，奇华顿；Amarocit，德之馨）。
