  GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT ABSTRACT Ullmann-type diaryl ether synthesis was performed under mild conditions in DMF/K2CO3 using a pyridine-functionalized silane as a ligand. The products were obtained in good yields. This method tolerates a variety of functional groups and is effective in the synthesis of hindered diaryl ethers and heteroaryl ethers.
