Reaction‐based sensing: A fluorescentprobe for the detection of hydrogensulfide was prepared and evaluated on the basis of H2S‐mediated benzodithiolone formation. The probe showed good selectivity and sensitivity for hydrogensulfide.

H2Sn as both a nucleophile and an electrophile. Based on this reaction, three fluorescentprobes (PSP‐1, PSP‐2, and PSP‐3) were synthesized and evaluated. Among the probes prepared, PSP‐3 showed a desirable off/on fluorescence response to H2Sn and high specificity. The probe was successfully applied in visualizingintracellular H2Sn.

The third gasotransmitter hydrogen sulfide (H2S) plays a vital role to human health and diseases. A water-soluble ratiometric fluorescent probe (HS-1) for hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been developed, which resulted in an increase of the emission at 403 nm along with a concomitant decrease of fluorescence peak at 519 nm, the ratios of emission intensities at 403 and 519 nm (I403/I519) displayed an increase
