concept of allostericcooperativity used in biology, chemistry and physics states that any change in the intermolecular host–guest interactions operating in multisite receptors can be assigned to intersite interactions. Using lanthanide metals as guests and linear multi‐tridentate linear oligomers of variable lengths and geometries as hosts, this work shows that the quantitative modeling of metal loadings
Suzuki-Miyaura coupling polymerization of p-dibromophenylene and m-phenylenediboronic acid ester, as well as m-dibromophenylene and p-phenylenediboronic acid ester, and the combination of two meta-phenylene monomers, in the presence of t-Bu3PPd(0) catalyst...
Designed intramolecular NH...OCH 3 hydrogen bonding interaction induced facile formation of new azacalix[n]arenes (arene unit: n = 4, 6, 8) with bridging -NH- amino group by palladium-catalyzed aryl amination. Reaction ofthe -NH- group with acetic anhydride gave corresponding N-acetylated derivatives.
Intramolecular catalyst transfer takes place on dibromobenzotriazole, but not on dibromobenzothiadiazole in the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction and polycondensation reaction with tBu3PPd precatalyst. Furthermore, the addition of benzothiadiazole interfered with catalyst transfer in the coupling reaction of dibromophenylene with phenylboronic acid ester, in which the catalyst transfer occurs in the
Double-Circularly Connected Saloph-Belt Macrocycles Generated from a Bis-Armed Bifunctional Monomer
Belt-shaped macrocycles possessing saloph units as their walls have been generated by the double circular connection of a bis-armed bifunctional monomer bearing both o-phenylenediamine and salicylaldehyde functionalities. The saloph-belt macrocycles showed unique properties, such as the selective inclusion of fullerenes (K-a(C-70)/K-a(C-60) > 100), utilizing their rigid scaffolds.
