The case was described of a 19 year old woman employed to inject diallylgycol carbonate liquid monomer (used to manufacture high quality prescription lenses) into lens molds who developed contact dermatitis. During work, there were occasional spills of the monomer which could come in contact with the hands and arms of the worker. After 2 weeks of employment, the patient developed blisters and edema of the back of her hands, forearms, knees and thighs that required hospitalization and treatment. Although the irritant nature of the monomer was known, the workers had difficulties working with gloves and protective clothing. Patch tests carried out in ten volunteers with a 1 percent solution of diallylgycol carbonate confirmed the irritant nature of the product, in the form of a minimal or mild edema, with no vesicular reactions. Patch testing carried out in the patient to rule out the possibility of an allergic contact dermatitis revealed that she was highly sensitive to diallylgycol carbonate, a positive reaction being recorded at a concentration as low as 0.001 percent. The authors conclude that the patient developed an allergic contact dermatitis to diallylgycol carbonate, although the product is also a skin irritant.

制备方法与用途

烯丙基二甘醇二碳酸酯是应用最广泛的生产普通型树脂镜片的材料,主要用于制作眼镜片。该物质属于有毒物品,具有高毒性。急性毒性方面,腹腔内给小鼠注射270毫克/公斤剂量可致死半数。皮肤接触2%溶液48小时会引起中度刺激。

此外,烯丙基二甘醇二碳酸酯易燃,在接近火源、热源或氧化剂时容易燃烧,并会释放出刺激性烟雾。储存和运输特性要求在通风良好、低温干燥的库房内存放,并与食品原料分开存储。

灭火方法包括使用干粉、泡沫、砂土、二氧化碳以及雾状水。

The indeno-fused naphthopyrans have an amino group (e.g., a piperidino or morpholino group) bonded to the 6-position and an optional halo group (e.g., fluoro) bonded to the 11-position thereof. The photochromic materials of the present invention may have a closed-form electromagnetic radiation absorption spectrum that is shifted to longer wavelengths (e.g., wavelengths of greater than 390 nm), relative to comparable photochromic materials.
