    The amination of various phosphorodiamidate-substituted pyridines, quinolines, and quinoxaline with magnesium amides R2NMgCl·LiCl proceeds at room temperature within 8 h. Several pharmaceutically active amines were suitable substrates for this amination procedure, and also the antihistaminic tripelennamine was prepared.     Nitrogen-containing heterocycles bearing amino substituents were prepared by the reaction of the corresponding nitrogen-containing heteroaryl triflates with amines. The reaction affords good results with primary and secondary amines, and with aliphatic and aromatic amines. The whole triflation/amination process can also be conducted as a one-pot operation.

    Ligand design: Electron-rich silicon containing phosphinanes overcome harsh reaction conditions and long reaction times in Pd-catalyzed coupling of heterocycles. The presented new ligand design based on silicon containing phosphacycles enable rapid C−C and C−N coupling of heteroatom-containing substrates under mild conditions with excellent yields.
