Abstract The paper presents the synthesis of macrocyclic complexes [M(C 52 H 36 N 12 O 4 )X}X 2 ] of Cr(III), Mn(III) and Fe(III) with Schiff base ligand (C 52 H 36 N 12 O 4 ) obtained through the condensation of 1,4-dicarbonyl phenyl dihydrazide with 1,2-di(1H-indol-1-yl)ethane-1,2-dione.
