Syntheses with diphenylethynylketone and di-n-hexynylketone lead to a variety of products deriving from attack at the ketone and/or one or both triple bonds. Adducts with amines, hydrazines, mercaptans, active methylene compounds, and tetraphenylcyclopentadienone were obtained.
