photoproducts of cycloalkanones, i.e., 1-(2′-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxaldehyde (5, 34%) and 1-(3′-butenyl)cyclopropanecarboxaldehyde (7, 37%), respectively, in marked contrast to the usual photochemical cleavage of cyclopropyl ketones.
