  The title mixed-ligand copper(II) complexes were characterized by X-ray crystallography. These complexes take on a trans (O-amino acid, N-central of pmdt) form, and their CuN4O core geometries are approximately regular trigonal bipyramidal, which is novel for copper(II) complexes containing a discrete amino acid chelate ring.
