A process for the manufacture of a compound of the general formula (I)
wherein
- Y is H, F, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group or an aryl group,
- R1 is H or an organic residue,
- R2 is H or an organic residue ;
which comprises submitting a compound of formula (II)
wherein Y is as defined above,
R1, is H or an organic residue,
R2, is H or an organic residue,
X is Cl, Br, I, CN, sulphate or sulphonate ;
to a reduction reaction in the presence of an ammonium salt.
