    Synthesis and Structural Studies of 4-Thioxopyrimidines with Antimicrobial Activities
    摘要:
    This work describes a two-step, one-pot synthetic method for the formal aza-[3 + 3] cycloaddition between N-alkyl substituted enaminones and benzoyl isothiocyanate, which afforded 4-thioxopyrimidines in reasonable yields. Reaction of acyclic enaminone with a sterically hindered group attached to the nitrogen atom afforded pyridine-2-thione, yet in low yield. The antibacterial, antifungal, and trypanocidal activities of the thioxopyrimidines were evaluated and five compounds exhibited moderate activity against Candida albicans, Micrococcus luteus, and Trypanosoma cruzi. The solid state structures of a thioxopyrimidine, an organic disulfide, and a 1,2,4-triazole were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.

    Metal complexes adapted to form conductive metal films and lines upon deposition and treatment. The metal complex can be a covalent complex and can comprise a first and second ligand. Low temperature treatment can be used to convert the complex to a metal. The metal films and lines can have low resistivity and work function similar to pure metal. Coinage metals can be used (e.g., Ag, Au, Cu). The ligands can be dative bonding ligands including amines, unsymmetrical amines, and carboxylate ligands. Sulfur complexes can be used. Carboxylate ligands can be used. The complexes can have a high concentration of metal and can be soluble in aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. The ligands can be adapted to volatilize well. Inkjet printing can be carried out. High yields of metal can be achieve with high conductivity.

    Provided herein are methods comprising (i) depositing an ink on a surface, (ii) producing a conductive metal film by, for example, heating or irradiating or other treatment of said ink, and (iii) wherein the metal film is in the form of a repetitively patterned structure forming a grid-like network of vertex-shared polygons and polygon-like structures with a varying number of vertices. Transparent, conductive structures can be formed and serve as, for example, ITO-replacement materials and structures.
