Spectroscopic and Structural Characterization of Copper−Germylene Complexes Bearing an Isopropyl-Substituted β-Diketiminate Ligand

A germylene complex bearing a beta-diketiminate ligand with sterically small aliphatic Pr-i alkly groups on the N atom coordinates to a copper complex bearing the same ligand to afford the copper-germylene complex [Cu((i)Prnacnac){GeCl((i)Prnacnac)}] (3), Hydrogenation and methylation of the germanium in 3 was effected with KBHEt3 and MeLi, respectively.
