A process for preparing 2-fluoro-1-olefins or terminal bis-beta-fluoro-olefins which comprises reacting an appropriate allyl or alpha-olefinated starting material with phenylselenyl chloride and silver fluoride, and then reacting the intermediate phenylselenyl fluoride compound with ozone, and further reacting the resulting phenylselenoxide compound with an appropriate amine, to yield the desired fluorinated compounds.

Au(I) fluorido SPhos complexes react with alkynes to yield metal-fluorovinyl species. Addition of HCl resulted in protodeauration with retained stereoselectivity. Various Au(I) complexes were then compared in their ability to catalyze hydrofluorination reactions of 1-phenyl-1-propyne employing Et3N ⋅ 3HF as HF source.

Air- and moisture-stable platinum (poly)fluorido complexes activate alkynes. The released fluoride is stabilised in the outer coordination sphere by cooperating indolylphosphine ligands. The complexes were applied for the selective catalytic hydrofluorination of internal alkynes to provide (Z)-fluoroalkenes.

A curable composition comprises (A) a polymer whose molecules have a main chain comprising carbon-carbon bonds and one or more isocyanatocarbonyl groups pendant to the main chain, the content of the isocyanatocarbonyl groups per polymer molecule being from 0.1 to 72.2% by weight, and (B) an active hydrogen atom-containing compound. Various polymers of the given type, including polymers having pendant isocyanatocarbonyl and/or isocyanato groups, are novel.
