[EN] In accordance with the present invention, compounds that inhibit the expression of VEGF post-transcriptionally have been identified, and methods for their use provided. In one aspect of the invention, compounds and compositions useful in the inhibition of BEGF production, and/or in the inhibition of angiogenesis, and/or in the treatment of cancer, diabetic retinopathy or exudative macular degeneration are provided. In another aspect of the invention, methods are provided for the inhibition of VEGF production, the inhibition of angiogenesis, and/or the treatment of cancer, diabetic retinopathy or exudative macular degeneration using the compounds of the invention. [FR] Conformément à l'invention, des composés qui inhibent l'expression de VEGF de manière post-transcriptionnelle ont été identifiés, et des procédés permettant leur utilisation sont proposés. A practical and mild metal-free oxidative C–H functionalization of N-carbamoyl tetrahydro-β-carbolines has been reported. This reaction has excellent functional group tolerance, and exhibits a broad range of potassium trifluoroborate components, allowing for the facile C–H functionalization of electronically varied N-carbamoyl THCs in high efficiency with excellent regioselectivity.
