  The 8-hydroxyquinoline and pyridine carboxylic acid complexes of silver have been reinvestigated using ESCA, i.r. and u.v. spectroscopy, and through chemical properties in some cases. Many of the complexes do not have the simple 1:1 or 1:2 metal-ligand ratios previously assigned. Evidence for incorporation of solvent molecules into some of the compounds, the presence of nitrate and perchlorate in others
