A metal-free direct α-selectivearylation of BODIPYs has been developed based on base-mediated C–Hfunctionalization with easily accessible diaryliodonium salts, which provides a straightforward facile access to a variety of α-arylBODIPY dyes. The α-regioselectivity was confirmed by X-ray analysis, and was studied by DFT calculation. The resultant dyes show strong absorption and emission over a broad
Copper-catalyzed aerobic oxyarylation of [1,2,3]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridines is developed. Notably molecular oxygen was utilized as one of the reagents and the transformation resulted in the formation of novel pyridinium triazolinone ylides. A basic mechanism for the one-pot process is proposed and further functionalization of the ylidic products were also presented.
This work describes a straightforward access to a large variety of arylphosphonates by the simple combination of diaryliodonium salts with phosphites in the presence of a base and under visible-light illumination. The reaction proceeds smoothly, tolerates various functionalities, and was applied for the synthesis of pharmaceutically relevant compounds. Mechanistic investigations, including EPR, NMR

A general and efficient access to aryl, heteroaryl, vinyl and alkynyldifluoromethylphosphonates is described. The developed methodology using TMSCF2PO(OEt)2, iodonium salts and a copper salt provided a straightforward manifold to reach these highly relevant products. The reaction proved to be highly functional group tolerant and proceeded under mild conditions, giving the corresponding products in
